My name is Samantha and like so many people, one day I realized I had put on a lot of weight and needed to do something.
For me, that day was just after coming back from my family beach vacation.
Sitting with my husband and looking through the photographs one evening, I can accross the one that just left me stunned. Actually, stunned is not the correct word. Hurt and embarrassed describe better what I was really feeling.
How could I have let myself go like that? What happened to me?
Life Had Finally Caught Up With Me.
I knew I had put on weight but was hiding from myself. I was making excuses why I had become fat.
It is so hard to write this and say the word 'fat' but that is what I had become. Not overweight, not a little chubby or curvy or any of those other words we use to hide. Fat. That is what I had become.
Bringing my two kids into the world. Looking after a family. Working full time and having no time to myself. Those were the excuses I made time and time again.
Now, seeing myself in my little sexy bikini I realized I was no longer sexy and all those years of not exercising or eating properly had caught up on me and I had to do something. Something quickly and without it taking too much of my time. As a working mother there was just no way I could spend a lot of time in the gym. I had to find somthing that fit right into my lifestyle.
I Started With The Atkins Diet But Was Forced To Give It Up.
After so much publicity I decided to try the Atkins Diet first. I saw same nice weight loss in the first week but then, in the second week, I started to feel ill. The high levels of protein I was eating were making me feel unhealthy. My digestive system was not coping well with the change of diet, and the worst part, I started getting horrendous migraines that just sucked the energy right out of me.
I went to see my doctor to get some advice and she immediately had me give a blood sample to get a full blood panel done. Well, the results were frightening to say the least. My bad cholesterol level had risen10% in three week. She advised me to quit the diet and I did that very day.
I Tried Hoodia & Failed.
I was then recommended Hoodia by a friend who had used it to lose some weight, so I decided this might be what I was looking for.
At first I thought I had found my weight loss solution as I began losing 2 or 3 pounds each week and presumed it would continue and increase as time went on. This was a pretty good start I thought.
